Liu Dechun, director of the Social Development Department of the National Development and Reform Commission, said at a briefing at the State Council Information Office that in the next five years, China will deepen the people-centered new urbanization, improve the public resource allocation mechanism in line with the permanent population, promote the effective coverage of basic public services for urban residents, reduce the gap in basic public services between urban and rural areas, and significantly improve the level of equalization of basic public services.
