Guterres condemns the attack on the UN forces.

United Nations Secretary-General Guterres issued a statement on the 6th through a spokesperson, condemning the attack on a camp of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) that resulted in three Ghanaian peacekeepers being injured. Guterres emphasized in the statement the need to always respect the safety of United Nations personnel and property, and to hold those responsible for the incident accountable. The inviolability of United Nations facilities must be respected by all. The statement urged all parties to immediately de-escalate tensions and fully comply with the obligations stipulated in Security Council Resolution 1701.
