Minister of Finance: This year's fiscal expenditure on education, health, and other sectors will exceed 12.4 trillion yuan.

On March 6th, Minister of Finance, Lou Jiwei, stated at the Economic Theme Press Conference of the Fourth Session of the Fourteenth National People's Congress that more funds will be allocated to key areas and critical points of high-quality development. This year, nearly 1.3 trillion yuan has been arranged for national scientific and technological expenditures, an increase of 7.1%; expenditures on education, social security and employment, health, and housing totaled over 12.4 trillion yuan.
