To further unleash the potential for consumption, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Commerce, and the State Administration of Taxation will launch a six-month pilot program of prize-awarding invoices in 50 cities starting from early 2026. According to the State Administration of Taxation, during the Spring Festival holiday, the daily sales revenue of the national consumption-related industries increased by 13.7% compared to the previous year's Spring Festival holiday. The person in charge of the Tax Research Institute of the State Administration of Taxation stated that, based on the practical effects during the Spring Festival period across the country, the pilot program of prize-awarding invoices not only stimulates consumption vitality, but also subtly promotes invoice governance and enhances the tax compliance and governance awareness of the whole society.
