US Treasury yields rise on continued inflation concerns.
The yield on US treasury bonds has risen, as the market worries about the inflation impact of the US-Iran conflict, leading investors to factor in higher borrowing costs. Daniel Takieddine of Sky Links Capital Group stated in a report, "Financial markets continue to be heavily influenced by the geopolitical uncertainty brought about by the escalation of tensions in the Middle East." He also mentioned that recent economic indicators have reinforced the view that the US economy remains resilient, citing better-than-expected February data on the US Institute for Supply Management's non-manufacturing index and ADP labor market data. According to Tradeweb data, the yield on 2-year US treasury bonds has risen by 2.5 basis points to 3.567%, and the yield on 10-year US treasury bonds has increased by 3.7 basis points to 4.118%.
