Starfire Space Electric Cycle Rocket Engine "Flame II" System Successfully tested
Reporters have learned that recently, Xinghuo Space has successfully completed the first full-system test of the "Flame II" electric pump-fed rocket engine, achieving complete success. This test verified the feasibility of electric pump circulation technology in domestic engines, confirmed the correctness of the system design and the coordination between components, broke through the world's largest electric pump-fed rocket engine thrust limit, and marked China's technological leadership in the field of electric pump-fed rocket engines. The "Flame II" engine adopts an electric pump circulation design, using electric pumps instead of traditional turbo pumps to supply propellant, making it the world's largest electric pump-fed liquid rocket engine with a single thrust of 10 tons. It has the advantages of simple structure, low cost, high reliability, high specific impulse, and mass production capability, providing key power support for the company's self-developed "Evolution I" electric pump-fed liquid launch vehicle, significantly reducing rocket launch costs and improving the overall reliability of the vehicle.
