National People's Congress deputy and chairman of Guangzhou Automobile Group, Feng Xingya, said in an interview on March 3 at his residence that he will focus on boosting the development of the rural new energy vehicle market, new energy vehicle battery exchange, and the "going global" of Chinese new energy vehicles this year. He stated that there is a significant gap between the market share of new energy vehicles in rural and urban areas, with great potential for development in the rural market. Regarding the "going global" of new energy vehicles, he said that once Chinese new energy vehicles have reached a certain level of development, it is necessary to explore how to achieve international product and technology standards.
