Reporters have learned that Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Co., Ltd. issued a price increase letter on March 2nd, citing the soaring prices of raw materials as well as continuous increases in labor and transportation costs have significantly deteriorated the profitability of the company's electronic materials department's CCL, prepreg, and CRS products. In order to ensure stable product supply, prices of the above-mentioned products will be adjusted, with a price increase of 30% from the current prices, effective April 1st. In the CCL field, Mitsubishi Gas Chemical is the absolute leader and technological innovator in the global high-end packaging substrate materials sector. Previously, Japanese semiconductor material giant Resonac had already raised CCL and adhesive film prices by 30% on March 1st.
