National People's Congress representative Hu Chengzhong: Accelerate the formulation and implementation of national standards for automotive solid-state batteries.
On March 3rd, as the National People's Congress is about to convene, Hu Chengzhong, a national delegate and chairman of Delixi Group, is focusing on the development of the solid-state battery industry. He pointed out that the current standard system for solid-state batteries in China has shortcomings and lacks coordination, the bottleneck in core technological engineering has not been broken through, the industry chain lacks coordination and is weak in independent controllability, and costs and certification are constraints on scaling up. Hu Chengzhong suggested accelerating the formulation and implementation of national standards for automotive solid-state batteries, and promptly issuing performance specifications, safety specifications, and lifespan specifications to clarify product technical requirements and testing methods. He also recommended focusing on core technological areas such as solid-state electrolyte materials, interface modification, and dry electrodes, supporting the formation of innovative consortia by companies and research institutions to conduct collaborative research in industry, academia, and research, particularly breaking through the scale-up preparation technology for high-conductivity, high-stability solid-state electrolytes and reducing the cost of key materials. Hu Chengzhong also proposed nurturing and strengthening leading companies in the industry chain, supporting battery companies, materials companies, equipment companies, and vehicle companies to establish long-term strategic partnerships to form a collaborative development ecosystem.
