Bank of Japan Governor Kuroda did not mention monetary policy at the financial technology conference.

During a financial technology conference held in Tokyo, Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda gave a speech without mentioning monetary policy. Kuroda stated, "We will continue to cooperate and coordinate with relevant institutions, including those present here, to build a financial ecosystem suitable for the next era." The Bank of Japan is currently moving forward with a sandbox experimentation project aimed at allowing central bank funds to be used for various settlements on blockchain. In this experimentation project, the Bank of Japan will conduct technical trials related to settlements on the blockchain system using central bank funds in the form of current deposits.
