Xiaomi Group founder, chairman and CEO Lei Jun announced the latest progress of Xiaomi's robot business on March 2nd: Xiaomi robots have started "interning" at car factories. "Based on the General VLA base model Xiaomi-Robotics-0, combined with multimodal perception capabilities and reinforcement learning technology, Xiaomi humanoid robots have preliminarily achieved autonomous work in scenes such as self-tapping nut assembly stations and material box handling." Lei Jun stated that key indicators such as average time without failure and single task success rate of the robots are steadily improving, and deployment and validation work around more classic workstations is also continuing to progress. Lei Jun said that Xiaomi will continue to contribute to the large-scale application of humanoid robots in intelligent manufacturing. He predicts that in the next 5 years, a large number of humanoid robots will be employed in Xiaomi's factory.
