The construction of a nationwide unified large market in 2025 is accelerating, with a noticeable increase in inter-provincial trade volume.
The analysis of tax big data by the State Administration of Taxation shows that by the year 2025, the construction of a unified national market will continue to deepen, with inter-provincial trade sales increasing by 4.5% year-on-year, accounting for 41% of the national sales, an increase of 0.8 percentage points from the previous year. The growth rate of inter-provincial sales in more than 80% of provinces across the country has achieved positive growth. At the same time, the role of key areas in driving radiation is becoming apparent. In 2025, the sales outside the regions of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, the Yangtze River Delta, and the Pearl River Delta increased by 4%, 6.2%, and 4.6% respectively. Trade between key regions is frequent, with sales from Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei to the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta to the Chengdu-Chongqing area increasing by 6.7% and 7.8% respectively. In addition, the number of enterprises engaged in cross-province trade is increasing rapidly. By 2025, the number of tax-related enterprises engaged in cross-province sales has increased by 8% year-on-year, accounting for more than half of the total number of sales transactions.
