The Yellow River enters the flood season, multiple departments work together to weave a tight flood control safety network.
Currently, the Yellow River is entering the critical annual "opening period". At present, the overall situation of opening up the river is stable, but the acceleration of ice melting combined with the complexity of the river channel, there are still risks of ice jams and ice blocks in some local river sections. According to the office of the Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, as of 10:00 on March 1st, a total of 173 kilometers of the Yellow River in Inner Mongolia have been opened, with 483 kilometers of frozen river sections remaining, mainly concentrated in the Bayannur to Hohhot sections.
