The Chinese Embassy in the United Arab Emirates once again reminds Chinese citizens in the UAE to further strengthen security precautions.
Recently, the security situation in the Middle East has been rapidly evolving, with multiple attacks in the United Arab Emirates. In order to respond to the current situation and ensure the safety of Chinese citizens and institutions in the UAE, the Chinese Embassy in the UAE and the Consulate General in Dubai would like to remind you of the following:
1. Remain calm. The UAE government has issued a notice emphasizing the importance of national security and the safety of residents, and has quickly initiated emergency response measures. The overall situation is stable and controllable. Please stay calm, closely follow the safety alerts issued by the UAE government and consular reminders, and respond calmly according to information from local government, emergency departments, and other agencies.
2. Take local precautions. Chinese citizens and tourists in the UAE should stay in their current relatively safe residences or hotels, reduce unnecessary travel and movement between regions, closely monitor the surrounding environment and security situation, stay away from local military facilities and sensitive areas. In case of an emergency, immediately seek shelter in the nearest sturdy building, stay away from doors, windows, balconies, and open areas, and do not linger or gather outside.
3. Arrange travel carefully. Due to the security situation, some airspace in the UAE has been closed, leading to widespread flight delays, cancellations, or temporary closures at major hubs such as Dubai International Airport and Abu Dhabi International Airport. Chinese citizens planning to travel by plane should check the latest flight information through airline official websites, ticketing platforms, airport official platforms, and continuously monitor flight status. Evaluate and arrange or adjust your itinerary carefully based on real-time information. Do not trust flight information from unofficial sources such as social media, be alert to all kinds of false information and telecommunications fraud to avoid unnecessary personal and property losses. Please register your information through the Chinese Consular Protection APP or mini program for overseas citizens. In case of an emergency, first ensure your own safety, then immediately call for help and contact the Chinese Embassy in the UAE or the Consulate General in Dubai for assistance.
