The first national standard system for humanoid robots and embodied artificial intelligence has been released in our country. How will it help boost the development of the industry?
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's Committee on Humanoid Robots and Embodied Intelligent Standardization Technology officially released the "Humanoid Robot and Embodied Intelligence Standard System" yesterday. This standard system is the first in China to cover the entire industry chain and lifecycle of humanoid robots, marking the entry of the related industries into a new stage of standardized development. The system consists of six parts: basic commonality, neuromorphic computing, body and components, whole machine and system, applications, and safety ethics. The basic commonality standards are general and directive standards and regulations that provide compliance assurance for technological evolution and development; the neuromorphic computing standards cover key standards such as embodied intelligence "neuromorphic" and intelligent computing, regulating the full lifecycle of data, model training, deployment throughout the technology chain; the body and components standards include humanoid torso, arms and legs, dexterous hands, as well as execution, perception, communication unit modules and other key standards, providing normative guidance for the modular development of humanoid robots and embodied intelligence; the whole machine and system standards are key standards for embodied intelligent whole machines, system software, and hardware and software synergy, providing normative basis for the integration and fusion of software and hardware of humanoid robots and embodied intelligence; the application standards regulate the development, operation, and maintenance of humanoid robots and embodied intelligence bodies in different application scenarios; the safety ethics standards run through the entire lifecycle of humanoid robots and embodied intelligence industries, providing safety and compliance assurance for technological evolution and development.
