Afghanistan claims to have shot down a Pakistani fighter jet.

Afghan media on the 28th quoted the Afghan Ministry of Defense as reporting that Afghan forces shot down a Pakistani fighter jet in Nangarhar province in eastern Afghanistan that day and captured the pilot. Nangarhar province police spokesman Taib Hamad said a Pakistani fighter jet was shot down in Jalalabad city and the pilot was captured alive. Witnesses said that after the Pakistani fighter jet was shot down, the pilot parachuted to safety and was then captured.
