Deputy Director Sheng Laiyun of the National Bureau of Statistics: Stability and progress towards new quality in 2025 to achieve a new breakthrough in economic aggregate
On February 28th, Sheng Laiyun, Deputy Director of the National Bureau of Statistics, stated when evaluating the "2025 National Economic and Social Development Statistical Bulletin" that in 2025, the total economic output will achieve a new breakthrough. China's gross domestic product (GDP) will increase by 5.0% compared to the previous year, exceeding the 14 trillion yuan mark for the first time, successfully completing the expected target tasks. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, China's economy consecutively surpassed four major milestones of 11 trillion yuan, 12 trillion yuan, 13 trillion yuan, and 14 trillion yuan. With the continuous expansion of China's economy, a 5% economic growth corresponds to an economic increment of over 5 trillion yuan.
