The implementation plan of the special national bond funds in Shenzhen for consumer goods upgrading and efficiency improvement mentions support for the scrappage and renewal of automobiles. Individual consumers who scrap and register in their own name a passenger car, and purchase either a new energy passenger car included in the "Catalog of New Energy Passenger Cars Eligible for Reduction of Vehicle Purchase Tax" or a passenger car with a displacement of 2.0 liters and below, will be granted subsidies for scrappage and renewal of automobiles. Among them, a subsidy of 12% of the price of the new energy passenger car is given for purchasing, while a subsidy of 10% of the price of the gasoline passenger car with a displacement of 2.0 liters and below is given.
