Hainan's permanent population increased by 70,000 people last year, and many provinces have published their population data for 2025.

According to the Statistical Bulletin on National Economic and Social Development of Hainan Province published by the Hainan Provincial Bureau of Statistics, by the end of 2025, the province's permanent resident population reached 10.55 million, an increase of 70,000 from the previous year. The urbanization rate of the permanent resident population was 64.08%, an increase of 1.00 percentage points from the previous year.
