Starting today, frequent visitors to Hong Kong can register to use the e-channel.
The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced that, in order to further facilitate visitors to Hong Kong and improve customs clearance efficiency, starting today, the qualifications for frequent visitors to use the e-Channel service will be relaxed, and the registration procedures for using the e-Channel service will be simplified. Under the new arrangement, frequent visitors, including those holding valid travel documents and multiple-entry tourist visas, only need to have visited Hong Kong International Airport 2 times or more in the past 24 months and meet the relevant conditions to register for free use of the e-Channel service. After successfully registering, visitors can use the e-Channel for self-service immigration procedures at various immigration control points in Hong Kong, enjoying a more convenient clearance experience.
