UBS analysts wrote in a report to clients that the short-term demand for high-end goods in South Korea may bring favorable factors to the luxury goods industry. "For the luxury goods industry, South Korean consumers are still important in terms of business and strategy," the analysts said. UBS added that these clients accounted for a percentage in the mid to high single digits of the group's sales. "They also serve as a useful leading indicator of broader regional trends." UBS stated that Hermes, LVMH, Prada, and Burberry are the most likely beneficiaries.
