The 21st meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress in Beijing has closed. Xi Jinping signed the chairman's order, and Zhao Leji presided over the meeting.

The 21st meeting of the 14th National People's Congress Standing Committee closed at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on the afternoon of the 26th. The meeting, through a vote, decided to dismiss Wang Xiangxi from the position of Minister of Emergency Management. President Xi Jinping signed Order No. 69. Chairman Zhao Leji presided over the closing session. A total of 155 members of the Standing Committee attended the meeting, meeting the statutory requirements for attendance. The meeting approved in principle the draft work report of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress. The Chairman's meeting suggested that Chairman Zhao Leji be entrusted to report to the 4th session of the 14th National People's Congress on behalf of the Standing Committee. The meeting approved in principle the report of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on the situation of legal cleanup work and opinions on handling relevant laws and decisions. The Chairman's meeting proposed that the 4th session of the 14th National People's Congress should review the report in writing. The meeting voted and approved the report of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on the qualifications of individual representatives. Through a vote, the meeting dismissed Jiang Chenghua from the position of member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People's Congress; and appointed Yang Heqing as the Deputy Director of the Legal Work Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress. Through a vote, the meeting dismissed Liu Shaoyun from the position of President of the Military Court of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. The meeting also voted on other appointments and dismissals. The meeting voted and approved the agenda draft, the list of chairpersons and the list of attendees for the preparatory meeting of the 4th session of the 14th National People's Congress to be submitted for review. The list of attendees for the 4th session of the 14th National People's Congress was also approved. Vice Chairpersons of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Li Hongzhong, Wang Dongming, Xiao Jie, Zheng Jianbang, Ding Zhongli, Cai Dafeng, He Wei, Wu Weihua, Tiejing, Peng Qinghua, Zhang Qingwei, Luosang Jiangcun, Shukerlat Zakir, and Secretary-General Liu Qi attended the meeting. Vice Premier of the State Council He Lifeng, President of the Supreme People's Court Zhang Jun, Procurator-General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate Ying Yong, officials in charge of the National Supervisory Commission, members of various specialized committees of the National People's Congress, responsible officials of the Standing Committees of provincial, autonomous regional, and municipal People's Congress, main responsible officials of some deputy provincial-level city People's Congress Standing Committees, officials in charge of relevant departments, and others attended the meeting. After the closing session, the 21st lecture of the 14th National People's Congress Standing Committee was held, with Chairman Zhao Leji presiding. Zhang Wenxian, a senior professor of philosophy and social sciences at Jilin University and president of the Law Education Research Society of the Chinese Law Society, gave a lecture entitled "In-depth Study and Implementation of Xi Jinping's Rule of Law Thought."
