Recently, the reconsideration results of the responsibility determination report for the Chengdu Xiaomi car collision and fire accident have been finalized, and the results of the remaining series of appraisal reports have also been issued. The Judicial Appraisal Opinion issued by the Sichuan Xihua Traffic Judicial Appraisal Center on the accident car shows that the speed of the accident car at the time of the collision with the front car was 167 kilometers per hour, and the doors could not be opened due to the low-pressure system being powered off; the individual died due to the vehicle catching fire and burning. The family of the car owner raised objections to the attribution of responsibility for the car owner's death, and could not reach a consensus with Xiaomi on compensation and other matters. On October 13, 2025, Chengdu Public Security issued a police report stating that in the early hours of the same day, a road traffic accident occurred on the south section of Tianfu Avenue in Chengdu. The driver, Deng, driving a small car, collided with the small car driven by Li in the same direction, and then crossed the central green belt of the road, catching fire and burning; the accident resulted in Deng's death, and testing showed suspicion of drunk driving.
