North Korea Military Parade Commemorates the 9th Congress of the Workers' Party.

On the evening of February 25th, a military parade was held at Kim Il Sung Square in Pyongyang to commemorate the 9th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea. According to the Korean Central News Agency, 50 infantry units and aerial display teams participated in the parade, including honor cavalry teams, various branches of the North Korean armed forces, and specialized units. During the closing ceremony of the congress, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un stated that the military activities of the aggressive coalition led by the United States in the Asia-Pacific region pose a serious threat to the security of the Korean Peninsula and the region. North Korea will continue to be fully prepared for confrontation with the United States and maintain a tough stance towards the US. Kim Jong Un emphasized that expanding and strengthening self-defensive capabilities and war execution capabilities is North Korea's unwavering defense policy and the most legitimate defense strategy. He also stressed the importance of further expanding and strengthening the country's nuclear capabilities to maintain its status as a nuclear state. Kim Jong Un mentioned that North Korea has proposed new secret weapons and special strategic assets as a major issue in enhancing the military technological capabilities of the North Korean armed forces during the new five-year plan period. Additionally, new defense development plans have been researched and approved.
