Venezuela appoints former Attorney General as new Ombudsman

On the 25th local time, Venezuela's former Attorney General Saab was sworn in as the Ombudsman of Venezuela at the National Assembly. Earlier that day, the President of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodrguez, stated during a parliamentary speech that Saab and Alfredo Ruiz had submitted their resignations to the Assembly, resigning from their positions as Attorney General and Ombudsman, respectively.
