The American stock market rose on Wednesday as the stock with the highest weight in the S&P 500 index, Nvidia, rose before the release of its earnings report after hours. Five out of the eleven sectors in the S&P 500 index saw gains, with technology, communication, and financial stocks leading the way. Matthew Maley, Chief Market Strategist at Miller Tabak, stated that the next significant trend in the American stock market will be determined by Nvidia's earnings report/guidance tonight. It remains one of the most crucial stocks among the most important "leaders" in the stock market.

On February 25th local time, the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) updated the "Specially Designated Nationals List" to impose sanctions on numerous individuals, entities, and vessels related to Iran. The targets of this round of sanctions include four Iranian individuals all linked to the Iranian Aviation Industries Organization; multiple shipping and trading companies located in Iran, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Panama, the Marshall Islands, and Liberia were listed in connection with Iran's oil and liquefied gas transportation network; at least 13 oil tankers and liquefied gas transport ships were included in the sanctions list, with the vessels flying flags of Panama, Palau, Barbados, Vanuatu, Comoros, and Iran. The U.S. Treasury Department stated that the individuals and entities mentioned above will face asset freezes and restrictions on transactions with the U.S. financial system. (CCTV)
