"More than 270,000 violating influencers have been cleared from Douyin (Chinese video-sharing app) over the past year."
On February 25th, the TikTok e-commerce Safety and Trust Center released its first annual report. It showed that in the past year, TikTok e-commerce has focused on cracking down on false advertising. Throughout the year, they have dealt with over 200,000 violations by merchants, 1.32 million violations by products, and removed over 270,000 seriously violating influencers. The platform has also continued to fight against counterfeit and inferior products, intercepting over 4 million risky merchants throughout the year. As influencers play a crucial role in consumer decision-making, the platform has enhanced specialized governance efforts as well. In the past year, 470,000 violating influencers have had their live-streaming rights suspended indefinitely.
