Arini founder: There is no need to cause a real concern about AI to trigger a software company default.
Hamza Lemssouguer, founder of Arini Capital Management, said that concerns about the potential disruptions caused by artificial intelligence in the market have already raised the borrowing costs for software companies, creating trouble for an industry burdened with heavy debt. Lemssouguer said in an interview, "We don't even need to wait for the actual disruption to happen to see some problems. The market always gets ahead of itself. The immediate problem we see now is the rising cost of capital for many companies, which will eventually lead to significant defaults, shocks, and dislocations in the credit market."
