Ford recalls over 450,000 vehicles in the United States.
On February 24th, according to a recall notice issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Ford Motor Company is recalling a total of over 450,000 vehicles in the United States. This includes: some 2017-2019 Explorer models, with 412,774 vehicles being recalled; the rear suspension toe links may fracture, which could lead to a loss of steering control and increase the risk of a crash. Some 2023-2025 Ford Escape and 2023-2026 Lincoln Aviator plug-in hybrid models are also being recalled, with 24,690 vehicles affected; due to a manufacturing defect in the high-voltage battery unit, there is a risk of internal short circuit and battery failure, which could result in a loss of driving power, increase the risk of a crash, and potentially lead to a fire hazard. Some 2025 Transit models are being recalled, with 15,965 vehicles affected; the brake pedal may become detached from the brake booster push rod, leading to a loss of braking function.
