Official report: 36 pounds of lamb were roasted, resulting in 6.9 pounds being cooked.
Market Supervision Administration of Nan'an District, Chongqing: On February 16th at 11:01, a consumer went to the store to select a lamb, and supervised the weighing and slaughtering of the lamb on the spot, and marked the lamb leg and tail separately. Around 19:00 on the same day, the consumer returned to the store to confirm the previous marks, but raised objections to the finished lamb, believing that the "volume was too small," and after on-site weighing, the actual weight was 6.9 catties. After investigation, it was found that the merchant had been abnormally and continuously feeding the lamb with corn, hay, and water before slaughtering in order to artificially increase the weight of the lamb. The store is suspected of violating the relevant provisions of the "Consumer Rights and Interests Protection Law of the People's Republic of China." We have ordered the store to stop its illegal activities, compensate the consumer according to the "three times the price" rule, and will handle the matter seriously according to the follow-up investigation, resolutely maintaining the market order of honest operation and effectively protecting the legitimate rights and interests of consumers.
