The Chilean Ministry of Health announced on the 23rd that the death toll from the natural gas transportation vehicle explosion that occurred in the capital city on the 19th has risen to 10 people, with 11 injured individuals still hospitalized for treatment, including 7 in critical condition. The natural gas transportation vehicle overturned and exploded on a highway in the Lo Encalada area of the Santiago Metropolitan Region on the 19th, causing 4 deaths that day. The explosion affected vehicles traveling on the nearby highway and a parking lot, resulting in a large number of cars being burned and surrounding buildings catching fire. According to the Chilean Ministry of Health, in the days following the accident, several severely injured victims succumbed to their injuries, bringing the total death toll to 10.
