Mexican drug lord killed, United States issues security warning

The leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel in Mexico, "El Mencho," was killed in an operation involving the Mexican army on the 22nd of this month. "El Mencho," 56, is one of the top wanted criminals by the Mexican and American governments. The United States listed the Jalisco New Generation Cartel as a terrorist organization in 2025.
