During the Spring Festival, the construction of energy projects in the southern regions of our country remains in full swing. Major energy projects such as the AC-DC converter project of the Southern Power Grid, the Hydropower Pumped Storage project in Zhongdong, Huizhou, and the Guanyang Pumped Storage project in Guilin continue construction during the Spring Festival, with over 2,000 construction workers sticking to their posts and sprinting at full speed with a "start as soon as the year begins" attitude. In the first quarter, the Southern Power Grid plans to invest over 30 billion yuan, aiming to expand effective investment and enhance future development momentum through practical actions. Multiple hydropower pumped storage projects are progressing simultaneously, including projects in Zhongdong Huizhou, Langjiang Zhaoqing, Electric Bai Maoming, Guanyang Guilin, and Lingshan Qinzhou. As a key energy project in the 14th Five-Year Plan, the Guanyang Pumped Storage Power Station in Guilin has entered the underground construction phase, with the completion of the 2376-meter drainage tunnel before the Spring Festival, and is currently steadily progressing on key milestones such as the excavation of the main factory building and the diversion of upper and lower reservoirs. The construction site of the world's first ultra-high-voltage flexible DC project - the AC-DC converter project is bustling with activity. Over 200 construction workers are stationed at Guangzhou Xiaojing and Shenzhen Central Converter Station, vigorously promoting "three connections and one level" as well as earthwork operations, seizing the golden period before the rainy season for construction, and taking the initiative to start the main project in November. Once this "green power expressway" is completed, it will deliver over 43 billion kilowatt-hours of clean energy from southeast Tibet to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area annually.
