The Qiongzhou Strait Haian-Haikou route ships are operating at full capacity.
On the 21st, it was learned from the maritime department in Zhanjiang, Guangdong that currently, the Qiongzhou Strait is experiencing a peak return travel period. In order to ensure the smooth travel of passengers, 53 passenger ships and 4 new energy-specific ferry boats on the Hai'an to Haikou route are operating at full capacity, with the goal of minimizing waiting time. The ports have increased the frequency of peak-hour trips, dynamically adjusted new energy-specific trips, guided trucks to travel at off-peak times, and avoided overlapping peak periods for passengers and goods. In addition, the number of railway ferry freight trains has been reduced to one pair per day. The maritime department is supervising navigation companies to dynamically adjust their capacity allocation, ensuring that there are 320 ship trips per day and maintaining the "north ship south diversion" mode in the Qiongzhou Strait to fully guarantee the smooth departure of return travelers.
