According to the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau, during the Spring Festival, Shanghai public security, together with emergency management, fire rescue and other departments, will work with Ping An volunteers to strengthen patrol and control measures, crack down on illegal activities, and widely publicize and guide various measures. Strictly implement the safety management requirements for fireworks and firecrackers, and make every effort to maintain public safety in the city to ensure that citizens have a safe and peaceful Spring Festival holiday. At the same time as strengthening control, the Shanghai police will crack down on illegal transportation, storage, and sales of fireworks and firecrackers. Since the Spring Festival holiday, the city has investigated more than 130 related cases, seized more than 150 boxes of fireworks and firecrackers, and fined more than 110 people for illegally setting them off.
