Airbnb will provide a bonus of up to $750 to new landlords who list their properties for rent in the host cities of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The company stated that this is its largest new landlord incentive program to date. The short-term rental platform announced on Wednesday that accommodation searches in these 16 host cities have increased by an average of about 80% compared to the same period last year, with demand continuously growing ahead of the event. According to the program, first-time landlords who list their entire property for rent and complete their first hosting by July 31st will be eligible to receive a $750 bonus, in addition to the rental income earned from guests. Airbnb cited estimates from Deloitte that residents of host cities can earn an average of around $3,000 by renting out their spaces during the event.
