The State Council Work Safety Commission has set up a special team to oversee the investigation of the fireworks and firecracker explosion in Lianyungang, Jiangsu province.

The meeting pointed out that the transportation, sale, storage, and ignition of fireworks and firecrackers have entered a peak period, with high safety risks. There must be no room for any negligence at every step and every point. Lessons must be learned and precautions taken seriously to eliminate any complacency or luck mentality. The safety production must be strictly maintained, with proactive measures taken to prevent any potential risks, and the safety bottom line must be firmly upheld. At the same time, it was decided that the explosion of fireworks and firecrackers in Lianyungang, Jiangsu, will be investigated by a team organized by the Jiangsu provincial government and supervised by the State Council's Work Safety Commission Office to thoroughly investigate the causes and hold those responsible accountable.
