On February 16th, a reporter from the First Financial Daily found that the Douyin APP has currently suspended the video call function. The page displays "Due to the large number of people during the New Year, this function is temporarily not supported", possibly due to computing power pressure. Today is New Year's Eve, Douyin will interact with red envelopes through the CCTV Spring Festival Gala. As of press time, ByteDance has not responded.
