The United States supports imposing a preliminary anti-dumping duty of 133% on imported Russian palladium.
The U.S. Department of Commerce has preliminarily supported an application from a mining company to impose nearly 133% anti-dumping duties on Russian palladium imports, with a final ruling expected later this year. Sibanye-Stillwater Limited, which owns the Stillwater palladium mine in Montana, submitted an application last year to the Department of Commerce and the International Trade Commission requesting relief measures, alleging that Russian palladium sold to the U.S. was being sold below fair value. The company, listed in Johannesburg, stated that the preliminary ruling to impose a 132.83% tariff on non-wrought Russian palladium still needs final confirmation from the two government agencies, with the related procedures expected to be completed in June.
