Wang Houhai, former Deputy Secretary of the Zhongshan District Committee, Dalian City, and former District Chief of the District Government, has been expelled from the party and dismissed from public office for serious violations of discipline and law.

On February 13, the Discipline Inspection Commission of Liaoning Province reported that, with the approval of the Liaoning Provincial Committee, the Discipline Inspection Commission of Liaoning Province has initiated an investigation into the serious disciplinary and legal violations of Wang Houhai, former deputy secretary of the Zhongshan District Committee and former district mayor of Dalian City.
