European Central Bank board member Kazakos stated that the European Central Bank is still observing the impact of the euro appreciation since 2025 on the economy. Kazakos pointed out that the estimates show that exchange rate changes take about 12 months to gradually transmit to the economic level, "so we are likely to see the full effects of last year's euro strength only in late spring this year."
