The London Stock Exchange will create a digital settlement platform supporting blockchain technology.

London Stock Exchange Group announced on February 12th its plan to build on-chain settlement capability - LSEG Digital Securities Depository (DSD). LSEG DSD will achieve full interoperability, connecting traditional and digital markets, supporting multi-chain environments, and enabling seamless interaction between existing settlement platforms and emerging digital infrastructure. The initial results are planned to be delivered in 2026, with the specific timing depending on regulatory approval.
