Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission conducted a deep analysis of the market supply and demand as well as price trends for "vegetable baskets" and "rice bags," strengthened inter-departmental cooperation, and issued a notice in collaboration with the Ministry of Civil Affairs, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Ministry of Commerce, and the State Administration for Market Regulation. The notice deployed efforts to ensure the stable supply and prices of important daily necessities, and to provide bottom-line assistance to vulnerable groups. Local authorities were urged to fulfill their responsibilities, continue to implement tasks effectively, ensure sufficient market supply and stable prices, firmly protect the livelihoods of the people, and create a good environment for the people to enjoy the Spring Festival.
