On February 11th, regarding the suspected unfair terms in the Huazhu Club member service agreement, in accordance with Article 40 of the Regulations on the Implementation of the Consumer Rights Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, which states that "consumer associations can investigate acts that harm the legitimate rights of consumers due to consumer complaints, verify the situation with relevant operators, invite relevant operators to testify, provide evidence, etc.", according to the consumer protection method of the China Consumers Association, the Beijing Consumers Association had a talk with its operator, Han Ting Xing Kong Hotel Management Co., Ltd., clearly pointing out the suspected exclusion or limitation of the main rights of consumers in the company's relevant terms, which harms the legitimate rights of consumers, and requested a comprehensive self-inspection and a deadline for rectification.
