Zhao Haijun, co-CEO of SMIC, stated at the performance conference that in 2025, the restructuring effect brought by the switch from the semiconductor industry chain originally designed, produced and sold overseas to domestic localization will run throughout the whole year. The fastest conversion speed is for analog circuits, followed by display drivers, cameras, storage, MCUs, mixed-signal, logic, etc. Chinese domestic chip design companies have seized the opportunity to gain a share of the supply chain, while SMIC is targeting customer-specific market product demands, accelerating verification and expanding production volume.
