Li Jia Chao: Quickly finalize the long-term accommodation plan for Hongfu Yuan residents.

On February 10, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Li Kachao expressed that the Hong Kong SAR government attaches great importance to the long-term accommodation arrangements for the residents of Wang Fu Court, and continues to provide appropriate assistance to affected families. The issues involved in long-term accommodation arrangements are complex, and the government needs to handle them carefully, balancing various opinions, considering the proper use of public resources, government funding, housing resource allocation, as well as relevant legal, property rights, and other responsibilities and issues, and making proper transitional arrangements. Li Kachao said when meeting with the media before attending the Executive Council meeting today, that the working group is working intensively to summarize and analyze the preferences of the owners regarding different options. Preliminary observations show that the vast majority of owners expect the government to expedite the long-term accommodation arrangements, with a significant proportion of owners indicating willingness to consider the government's acquisition of their property rights, and some owners expressing interest in considering the actual acquisition price. Li Kachao stated that the government will finalize the plan as soon as possible so that affected residents can make the most suitable choice.
