On February 5th, the Baiyun District People's Government of Guangzhou City signed an investment agreement with the well-known South Korean semiconductor equipment company STI Co., Ltd. in the Guangzhou Municipal Government. According to the agreement, STI Co., Ltd. will invest in the construction of a power semiconductor manufacturing base in Baiyun District. It is understood that the project will be located in the Guangzhou Private Science and Technology Park with a total investment of approximately 12.4 billion yuan. The first phase of the project will involve an investment of approximately 1.6 billion yuan to mainly produce AMB ceramic substrates. The project is planned to officially start after the Spring Festival and is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of the year, with an estimated annual output value of about 3 billion yuan.
