On February 9th, the north and south main towers of the Jingzhou Li Bu Yangtze River combined road and rail bridge, the world's largest double-layer cable-stayed cable-stayed system bridge, were all topped out, marking a key progress in the construction of the bridge, laying the foundation for the subsequent installation of catwalks and main cables. The Jingzhou Li Bu Yangtze River combined road and rail bridge is approximately 7900 meters long, integrating high-speed railway, highway, and urban road functions. While ensuring the smoothness of the 250km/h high-speed rail tracks, it also needs to meet the complex and coordinated demands of the upper layer with 6 lanes of high-speed traffic and the lower layer with 4 lanes of primary highway traffic. It is understood that the Jingzhou Li Bu Yangtze River combined road and rail bridge is expected to be connected in May 2027, and its completion will be of great significance for promoting the construction of a strong transportation country, improving the backbone road network structure of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and optimizing the layout of the national and Hubei province high-speed rail and highway networks.
