Reporters learned from the press conference held by the Hainan Provincial Information Office today that the first batch of 5 duty-free shops for daily consumer goods in Hainan Province will officially open on February 11. In response to consumers' concerns about the duty-free amount and types of goods for daily consumer goods, the relevant person in charge of the Hainan Provincial Finance Department said that the cumulative duty-free purchase amount per person per year shall not exceed 10,000 RMB. In terms of types of goods, the list mainly focuses on fast-moving consumer goods that are frequently purchased by island residents, have moderate value, and are easily consumed, covering a total of 202 tariff number goods to meet various daily needs of island residents in terms of food, clothing, and other daily necessities. According to the policy, the "zero tariff" policy for daily consumer goods is applicable to residents of Hainan Island. Specifically, this refers to Chinese citizens holding a Hainan province ID card, Hainan residence permit, or Hainan social security card, as well as foreigners working and living in Hainan with residence permits.
