The construction of the entire West Sichuan High-speed Railway track has been completed.
On February 6, at the construction site of the Xikang High-speed Railway in Ankang West Station section, with the final pair of rails accurately placed and locked, the track laying of the Xi'an-Ankang High-speed Railway, constructed by Shaanxi Company of West Chengdu Passenger Special Line and constructed by China Railway First Bureau, is completed. The Xikang High-speed Railway is an important part of the "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway corridor in the long-term national railway network plan, including the Bao Hai Passage and the Jing Kun Passage, with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. After completion and opening to traffic, the railway travel time from Xi'an to Ankang will be shortened from the current 3 hours to less than 1 hour, significantly reducing the time and space distance between the urban agglomeration in the Guanzhong Plain and the Shaanxi Qinba Mountain area, which is of great significance in promoting local economic development.
